The Warranty Group has received information about a mail fraud scam purporting to award a cash prize to its recipient. The cover letter to the recipient purports to be from Resource Dealer Group, Inc and states that the individual to whom it is sent has won a cash prize. The recipient is advised that in order for the cash prize to be released a "Clearance Fee" required by "Federal and International Law" needs to first be deducted from the prize winnings. The letter contains a phone number which a recipient is asked to call in order to provide information following which they will receive a check in the amount of the clearance fee. The check subsequently received indicates that the payor is Resource Dealer Group, Inc. The check is fraudulent and is not from Resource Dealer Group, Inc. Recipients are instructed to cash the check they receive and deliver that cash to a courier. The check will not be honored by Resource Dealer Group's bank or by Resource Dealer Group, Inc. According to the instructions, the courier will then deliver to them the larger prize check indicated in the letter. This transaction never happens and the recipient never receives any cash prize. The check that the recipient receives and deposits and/or cashes is fraudulent.

Any check received by a "prize" award recipient is not a valid check. Do not to attempt to cash or deposit this check. Neither Resource Dealer Group or any of it's affiliate companies sponsor or support any lottery, sweepstakes or prize contest that resembles the letter referred to above.
